APIRAC (the Portuguese Association of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry) promoted, in late 2025 and early 2026, a cycle of regional meetings aimed at discussing the HVAC sector with companies and professionals working in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
The meetings took place in Lisbon, Porto and Faro, creating valuable opportunities for dialogue on key structural topics for the future of the sector, including training, waste management, environmental responsibility and the regulatory framework.
At the Faro session, held on 16 January, the panel of speakers included Sílvia Rosa, Product Manager for Air Conditioning and Ventilation at Rolear Mais, who highlighted the role of distribution in supporting installer clients and acting as a link between the market and manufacturers.
APIRAC’s initiative also included an open debate among participants, addressing practical issues that directly impact air conditioning installation activities. Through these “Conversations with the Sector”, the association aims to identify shared challenges, with a view to supporting a more sustainable, technically robust and properly regulated transition for the HVAC sector.
